My friend and I often come here. The restaurant is stylish and authentic, the prices are normal, the same as in other restaurants and the food is also not bad. This place cool for to have breakfast and talk with a bestie.

This place is great! Consistency is their problem. And over done pastries. I get the same thing every time. A ham and cheese and egg croissant with a morning bun. This time my bf got an almond croissant which was also crumbly and over baked. This was at 8 AM. I come often so I know to choose the morning bun and get a light and flaky one that is soft on the inside. When they are baked right they are heaven! Last 2 times my yolk was slightly runny which was amazing. This time the yolk was totally hard. This should have been redone and not sent out. I took a pic of the almond croissant bc we ate the good flaky parts and left the hard and over baked edges (which are my favourite part of the croissant:(. I don't mean to sound harsh but this place is so close to being super fantastic I hope they take these criticisms to heart from a loyal customer. We bring out of towners here bc it's so cute. We just want to be confident the food will look good each time and enjoy pastries that are flaky and not hard and crumbly.

I love good bread. Tartine is one of my favorite places to get fresh bread and brunch. I was happy with everything I ordered and my family and I pretty much ordered the whole menu. Highly recommended if you love sourdough base bread!!

It rang up as buckwheat cookie I said I didn't order something that healthy It's a bergamot chocolate cookie Well, it's also buckwheat and gluten free That salt on top, so addictive I didn't take a photo til it was more than half gone Snarf! Oops. Cookie Monster in action. Nom nom nom nom nom nom I'll have to come back and sit For a while like the others looking all Writerly at their tables And let the tall sunroof ceilings Inspire different ways of writing. Thank you for bringing me San Francisco hipster vibes to the girl who left her heart there but lives in supposedly sunny LA. PS there are only 2-3 wheat free options here so take a peek before you stand in a line
